Education and Outreach

Sharing my passion for conservation and the behind-the-scenes magic of the field is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I was first introduced to conservation as an Art History student during a visit to the Conservation Window at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. A conservator was cleaning an ancient Roman fibula that I’d studied in school, and I couldn’t stop asking questions.

Giving talks, sharing photos and videos on Instagram, and speaking to aspiring conservators is a fulfilling part of my work. I enjoy connecting with the community and have given presentations at local professional meetings, universities, LACMA, and to other museum groups.
